2021 AD Beckham Pinot Gris

The A.D. Beckham wines  are a convergence of two passions- ceramics and wine. The terra cotta amphorae used to make these wines are handcrafted in Andrew’s studio on our vineyard.

 This wine gives a nod to our favorite producers in Northern Italy; specifically from Trentino Alto Adige. It was fermented and aged on its skins for 10 months in amphorae before being pressed and put to rest in bottle for a year and a half. On a warm summer day, this wine with a light chill is perfect to have on the patio with its aromas of herbs, cherries, and bittersweet citrus. It may also be enjoyed in the fall or any time of year with its warmer notes of clove and cinnamon. The wine reflects the color of terra cotta thanks to the naturally purple skins of the Pinot gris (many of you know our Pinot Gris is not a white wine, but a light red). Age is always favored for this wine as its tannic structure tends to soften with time. A wonderful accompaniment to grilled salmon or a lovely charcuterie board. 175 cases made drink now- 2038
