2018 AD Beckham Pinot Gris
The A.D. Beckham wines are a convergence of two passions- ceramics and wine. The terra cotta amphorae used to make these wines are handcrafted in Andrew’s studio on our vineyard.

80% fermented and aged on skins in amphora 11 months, 20% skin fermented in amphora 40 days and aged in acacia barrels.

This lively and energetic wine can be a beautiful challenge to describe, once open it is ever dancing around. The color almost matches the terra-cotta vessels it was raised in but when the sun hits the glass just right it glows. A savory strawberry/apricot jam and grapefruit pith surrounded by the most lovely garden of herbs and a hint of dried tea. Wonderful dusty tannins persist through the elegant finish. Serve at cellar temperature but not too cold. Drink 2021-2035
